This text discusses methodological and developmental research on the Assessment Scale of the Effects of Group Music Therapy on Chemical Dependence (MTDQ). To do so, we used the theoretical procedures for constructing Psychological Assessment Instruments outlined by Luiz Pasquali, namely Semantic Analysis and Judges Analysis. We found that the MTDQ was evaluated as relevant and appropriate to the population for which it is intended, that the items are theoretically connected to their respective domains, and that all domains are pertinent for the evaluation of MT in CD. Finally, we indicate that further studies will be conducted to verify the structural validity as well as the reliability of the constructed test.
