PERCEPTA – Revista de Cognição Musical [Journal of Musical Cognition] is a biannual electronic journal published by the Brazilian Association of Cognition and Musical Arts - ABCM. Launched in 2012, its mission is to foster the production and promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of music cognition and stimulate dialogue with related areas. It is committed to disseminating research results in music cognition, publishing original scientific articles or translations of scientific articles that reflect the current state of knowledge in the field. Its publications are directed to an interdisciplinary profile of researchers working in areas such as music theory, musicology, creative processes in music, music education, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, music therapy, linguistics, philosophy, and cultural studies in general. The journal adopts the APA (American Psychological Association) reference style. It receives contributions from Brazil and abroad continuously and is published annually.
