
The LuISe (Sensory Integration Glove) project, conceived in 2020 and developed from 2022, has the proposal of articulating the concepts contained in the practice of Deep Listening by Pauline Oliveros and the concept of embodied cognition brought by Guilherme Bertissolo, bringing in the philosophy of the Tupi-Guarani language as an inspiration for such articulation. Both concepts converge with regard to the intrinsic nature of the bodily aspect in music. They can also converge, I theorize, with regard to the end of the dichotomous barrier between thought and the body, showing us a possibility of experiencing ourselves, through musical practice, as unified beings — and yet multiple —, dealing with the most intimate element with which we can relate in the physical world: our body.
