This article presents examples of educational activities involving the song “Faraó Divindade do Egito” by composer Luciano Gomes, to be studies in Elementary School Music classes – Early Years according to BNCC. In this sense, it addresses the carnival manifestation of Bahia; highlights the selected musical piece; describes the paths of teaching Music in Elementary School; and creates musical didactic activities involving the mentioned song. The research methodology consists of a qualitative approach and bibliographic research, as to the procedure. In the theoretical basis, national education documents are pointed out, in addition to the authors who deal with themes such as “Carnival in Bahia”, “Bahian/Brazilian Ethnicity” and “Afro-descendant peoples”. At the end, five didactic activities were created in accordance with the Skills indicated by BNCC, involving musical parameters related to: appreciation; sound creation; composition; technical studies; literature and presentation.
