Music reading is one of the most demanding skills in collaborative piano context. Its improvement is relied on motor control and cognitive components, in special, the concept of attentional focus and its different ways of operating in some reading tasks, what can be verified on theoretical approach coming from music cognition, psychology and motor control (Sloboda, 2008; Dalgalarrondo, 2008; Magill, 2011). In the ongoing investigation it was considered four different ways of employing attentional focus, each one related to a particular reading situation extracted from the collaborative piano repertoire. The main goal of this research was to achieve comprehension of types of attention in a way to organize and planning attentional focus, trying to reach a more efficient way of reading collaborative piano repertoire.
