Abstract
A importância de interconectar a música com a educação e a sociedade é retratada no presente texto, no intuito de trazer para a área maior projeção social e melhor articulação pedagógica. Foram apresentadas algumas das áreas de conhecimento que estão se relacionando com a música, seja no campo da pesquisa quanto nos processos de ensino, o que tem beneficiado sobremaneira a área e modificado sensivelmente sua função e sentido na sociedade atual.
Music, education, and society
Abstract: The importance of interconnecting music with education and society is focused in the present text, to bring to the area greater social projection and better ped- agogical articulation. We present some of the areas of knowledge that are re- lated to music, both in the field of research and in the teaching processes, which has greatly benefited the area and significantly modified its function and mean- ing in today's society.
