This study investigated the influence of exposure to musical and rhythmic stimuli on the cognitive, motor, emotional, and social development of infants. The theoretical framework was based on Piaget's theories of cognitive development and Gordon's theories of musical learning. The methodology employed a qualitative approach, bibliographic research, and data collection via the internet, analyzing seven studies published between 2003 and 2023. Results indicate positive effects of musical and rhythmic stimulation on neurobehavioral, cerebral, motor, and cognitive development, as well as emotional and analgesic responses. It was observed that music promotes brain growth, improves emotional regulation, enhances motor skills, and offers analgesic effects in medical procedures, especially in premature infants. Exposure to musical and rhythmic stimuli and the integration of musical and rhythmic experiences from the first months of life are fundamental in child development.
