
This work evaluated an intervention in elderly singers who participate in a choral group in the city of Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul. The research strategies were oriented in the cognitive and physical spheres with the aim of promoting stimuli and evaluating the results. The general objective was to evaluate the effects of cognitive and physical strategies on memorization and breathing. The method used was a randomized clinical trial, with two groups being evaluated, the control group (CG) and the interest group (IG), both made up of singers of the same age group, practicing choral singing in the current year. The tests applied were the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCa), the maximum phonation time (TMF) and a questionnaire was applied to characterize the profile of the singers, including sociodemographic data, lifestyle habits, well-being and vocal aspects. The research results indicated that the intervention contributed to the areas analyzed.
